Home4Health

Increasing capacities of professionals and organisations caring for people experiencing homelessness who face health issues and traumas.

Cork Simon Community is delighted to be working in partnership with other European-based homelessness organisations on the EU-funded Home4Health programme.

Home4Health aims to create an EU-wide common approach to addressing the challenges of caring for homeless people with complex health problems and trauma, including addiction, mental ill-health, stigmatisation and much more. We are committed to transforming these challenges into training and professional development opportunities for organisations and institutions, and sharing experiences of good practice at European level.

Home4Health represents a significant step towards building a more inclusive society across Europe. Asociación Bienestar y Desarrollo ABD in Spain is co-ordinating the project in collaboration with CRESCER in Portugal, HVO-Querido in the Netherlands, and Cork Simon.

The Home4Health project will run until June 2026 and is funded by the Erasmus+ programme.

The Home4Health partners share a world view where:

  • Mental health care is compassionate and holistic.
  • Homelessness is eradicated.
  • Substance use is treated with humanity and respect.
  • All forms of gender discrimination and violence are eliminated.

We stand for a society that values diversity and fosters inclusion.

Together, we can create a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive in dignity and security.
